Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition Refund Policy

Amounts personally paid for tuition may be refunded if the student requests a leave of absence or withdrawal from the office of the dean. The date of this request will determine the tuition liability for the semester; refunds will be prorated based on the MBA program of enrollment.

Students receiving financial aid from the university who withdraw during a term will have their aid reevaluated, possibly necessitating repayment of a portion of aid received. Repayment to aid accounts depends on the type of aid received, government regulations, and the period in attendance.

Ithaca-based MBA (two year and TMO) Program Tuition Liability:

See the University Policy at: http://www.bursar.cornell.edu/Tuition_Refund_Policy.cfm. Because the Johnson School has a summer semester, and often starts its academic year at different times than the University, the prorated schedule will be applied based on the week of the semester versus the actual dates listed on the schedule. For example, Tuition Liability during Week 1 for Johnson School students is 10%.

EMBA Program Tuition Liability:

During or after the first residence week (7 days) 40%
During or after the first class weekend 50%
During or after the second class weekend 60%
During or after the third class weekend 80%
During or after the fourth class weekend 100%

Note: Cornell is authorized to offset any credit balances against any debts owed by the student to the university.
