Consultants-in-Residence

Our students benefit from a superb teaching faculty, comprised of both researchers and practitioners.

Our consultants-in-residence Randy Allen and Nate Peck both have high-level consulting and management experience. Their combined experience spans retail, consumer products, manufacturing, and financial industries, and includes expertise in strategy, technology, operations, financial management, and risk management.

Randy Allen, along with now-retired Associate Dean Richard Shafer (formerly a principal with Deloitte), developed the Consulting Focus at the Johnson School and continues to lead and expand the effort. She spent 22 years at Deloitte Consulting, becoming the first female consulting partner. Her practice focused primarily on consumer business. She also spent time as an executive in the apparel manufacturing and retail industry.

Nate Peck has 22 years of experience in consulting with McKinsey & Company and Bearing Point (formerly KPMG Consulting), where he consulted for global banks and financial institutions on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, financial management, and risk management. He also has extensive management experience in the financial industry.
