Performance Learning
The commitment to performance-based education is a hallmark of the Johnson School experience. Our "performance-learning" approach goes well beyond "applied learning" offered by other schools. It requires students to apply frameworks - many developed at the Johnson School - to real business situations, and receive continuous feedback from a variety of experts. They learn required to deliver results and learn while doing so.
The Consulting Focus applies this concept to consulting, providing students with a deep understanding of the consulting industry and its practices, while ensuring that they acquire functional and business knowledge required for internal consulting.
Among the many performance-learning opportunities that Johnson School students can use to develop their consulting acumen are:
- Consulting Passport
- Consulting Club
- Leadership in the Johnson School's many student clubs
- Leadership and management of projects, with companies, non-profits, and through classes
- Roy H. Park Leadership Fellows Program service projects
- BR Incubator
- Projects and practice sessions with professional consultants
- Integrative case competition
- Community Consulting
