Robert J. David

Robert David is associate professor of strategy and organization at McGill University's Faculty of Management in Montreal, Canada. He is also director of the Center for Strategy & Organization Studies at McGill. David studies the evolution of practices, organizations, and industries from an institutional perspective. He has published articles in top journals in his field, including Research Policy, Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, and Organization Science.
During the 2008-2009 academic year, David is a visiting scholar at the Johnson School, where he received his PhD in 2001. While at Cornell, he will pursue his joint work with Wesley Sine and Glen Dowell, both, assistant professors of management and organizations. Their work research focuses on how institutional change affects entrepreneurial opportunities.
