Amr Farahat
Assistant Professor of Operations Management
PhD, MIT
Amr Farahat specializes in building decision models that help yield insight into management problems and in applying optimization methods to solve them. His research focuses on the design of large-scale networks and economic mechanisms arising in supply chains and telecommunications. His teaching interests are in quantitative modeling, operations management, dynamic pricing, and statistics. Farahat holds a PhD in Operations Research from MIT, has worked at McKinsey, Unilever, and British Telecom, and has been awarded the UPS Fellowship from MIT and the Chevening Scholarship from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
