Richard A. Marin
Visiting Senior Lecturer
Rich Marin is the Johnson School's Executive-in-Residence in Asset Management. The former chairman and CEO of Bear Stearns Asset Management, Marin has had a long and distinguished career in asset management that includes over 20 years as a member of the management committee at Bankers Trust Company, a stint as chairman and CEO of Deutsche Asset Management, and founder and partner of Beehive Ventures, a venture capital fund. A member of the Johnson School's Advisory Council, he also serves on the advisory boards of the Cayuga MBA Fund, the Parker Center for Investment Research, and the BRV Fund. Marin has been a frequent guest lecturer at the school, has actively recruited Johnson School students, and served for eight years as chairman of the school's Annual Fund. He earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Cornell University, including his MBA at the Johnson School. In fall 2007, he was named the inaugural recipient of the Samuel C. Johnson Distinguished Service Award for his long-term volunteer activities across a broad spectrum of alumni engagement opportunities.
