Professor Orman's primary area is management information systems. He has taught courses and written articles on electronic commerce, database management, and decision support systems. His articles appeared in a variety of journals ranging from Information Systems, Acta Informatica, and IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, to MIS Quarterly, Journal of MIS, and Electronic Commerce Research. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Information Technology and Management. Professor Orman is currently working on electronic commerce and electronic services.
