Pamela L. Stepp, PhD, is the Managing Director of the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies (CAHRS) and a faculty member at the Johnson Graduate School of Management. CAHRS is a partnership between the top Human Resource executives from primarily Fortune 500 firms and the HR faculty and students in the Industrial and Labor Relations School. Her personal area of interest is leadership development. She teaches four courses at JGSM including Leadership Assessment for Managers, Inclusive Leadership, Goal Setting and Leader As Coach, and Developing a Persuasive Argument; and is a visiting executive coach and instructor at London Business School.

She received her doctorate in Educational Administration from Cornell University. Her research on gender differences of male and female leaders, leaders of color, and sexual harassment has created knowledge to break barriers and teach professional men and women how to be inclusive leaders in a diverse workforce. As a faculty member in the Communication Department at Cornell for many years she conducted seminars for working professionals on transformational leadership development, visioning, gender responsible leadership, effective business meetings, sexual harassment, and powerful talk. Dr. Stepp is the recipient of the Most Outstanding Professor Award by the National Speakers Association, the Brownlee Award for her leadership as President of the Cross Examination Debate Association serving 200 universities, five teaching awards from Cornell University and four (state, regional, and national) debate and public speaking coaching awards. The most recent award was the Cornell Perkins Prize for Interracial understanding and Harmony for her work as a member of the Cornell Campus Climate Committee.
