L. Joseph Thomas
Dean Thomas is the 10th dean of the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. Previously, he was associate dean for academic affairs, director of the doctoral program, and Director of executive education. His teaching and research interests are in operations management and supply-chain management. He has consulted for and been involved in management-education programs for several companies. His current research interests involve models for managing complex production-distribution systems and the ways in which these can be implemented effectively, considering the way people respond to different forms of work organization. He is a two-time winner of the Russell Distinguished Teaching Award, for 1995 and 2000.
