Heather E. TookesVisiting Assistant Professor of FinancePhD, Cornell University Professor Tookes' areas of research interest include market microstructure and price discovery, insider trading, and interactions between finance and product-market competition. Her teaching interests are in corporate finance, investments, and financial markets and institutions. Her dissertation, "Information, trading and product marketing interactions: cross-sectional implications of insider trading," examined the interaction between insiders' trading-location decisions in stock markets and firm competition in product markets. She received the Barclays Global Investors award for best paper by a current or recent PhD candidate at the European Finance Association Annual Meetings in 2003.
