Johnson School Student Wins the London Business School's New Creative Ventures Pitch Competition

January 11, 2007 | Ithaca, NY - Victoria Molinarolo, a second year MBA student at the Johnson School at Cornell University, won the London Business School's New Creative Ventures Pitch Competition. The competition is part of the New Creative Ventures course, developed in partnership with the London Business School and the University of the Arts London, and allows Masters students from several of London's top arts universities to participate.

Molinarolo spent the fall 2006 semester at the London Business School as an exchange student. At the beginning of the semester students pitched their business ideas. The top 10 were selected for further development by small teams of students from both universities. Molinarolo's idea was selected so she served as the team leader for her group. Over the course of the semester she and her team conducted market research, shaped the strategy, and wrote the business plan for an e-commerce website that sells high quality, large format digital prints by emerging artists.

A panel of six venture capital professionals and private investors from various companies judged the competition and selected Molinarolo's idea the winner. Molinarolo plans to pursue funding and launch the business upon graduation.
