Camp $tart-Up Staff

Camp $tart-Up at the Johnson School is being organized by five women business school students with a combined 25 years of experience in consulting, marketing, finance, project management, education, and strategic planning. The 2008 team includes Kate Tansey, Surabhi Varshney, Adrienne Martinez, Ritika Gill and Camille Etienne. See biographies of our team below.

Our student team is working under the guidance of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

The five MBA student organizers will also serve as camp counselors, working closely with the young women campers as they create and present their business plans. The counselors will live in the dorms with the campers and supervise their activities 24 hours a day. Additional counselors may include graduate or undergraduate business students.

Visiting faculty also participate in camp activities and include Johnson School and Cornell University faculty, women business owners from the Ithaca community, Johnson School alumnae serving as business plan coaches, and other visiting entrepreneurs.

To learn more about becoming a counselor or volunteering as a guest speaker, contact the Camp $tart-Up team at campstartup@cornell.edu.
