Director's Message

Irma Almirall-Padamsee, Director
A very warm welcome to Cornell University - an institution whose founders envisioned and aggressively pursued a philosophy of inclusiveness, and whose leaders have since continued to advance that philosophy. Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White's leadership remains a model for what we do at the Johnson School – produce bold, authentic leaders who leave here able to create a meaningful impact on their organizations.
I particularly want to welcome you to the Johnson School Office of Diversity and Inclusion and invite you to engage in the activities we host or promote. You can learn about many of these organizations and events here on this website.
As you visit our site and become part of our community, I hope you will feel our determination to lead the charge for change. For as proud as we are of our school's leadership in diversity and inclusion and as excited as we are about the vibrant collaborative spirit that infuses our culture, we have more to attain the full potential of our vision for a richly and organically inclusive culture. So we are determined to identify and prioritize the best opportunities to advance, and then systematically create meaningful, systemic changes that move us forward as individuals, a school, and a society.
I invite and challenge you to join with us in these efforts and to make the quest for greater diversity and a more genuinely inclusive culture a part of your transformational learning experience here at the Johnson School.
With best wishes,
Irma Almirall-Padamsee
