People of Color in Business

Students of color include those who are U.S. citizens and have African, Latino, Native or Asian American heritage. It is important to understand that these groups have a history of being underrepresented in positions of influence in our country. Some day it will not be necessary, as a matter of fact it may be absurd, to identify individual citizens by ethnic heritage. Until that day arrives, these are the measures we use.

The Johnson School programs to reach prospective students of color and encourage them to apply include our partnerships with the Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT); Johnson Means Business annual recruiting weekend; and Mosaic Picnics to welcome new and returning students and facilitate their networking to network with each other, faculty and staff.

We also work with student clubs & organizations such as the Black Graduate Business Association (BGBA), Hispanic American Business Leaders Association (HABLA), Out for Business (O4B) and the Women's Management Council (WMC) to provide support for members and events.
