Meet our Students and Alumni
Rob Rose '05Toigo Fellow President, Student Council I chose the Johnson School because I felt a great fit with the community here and because I could do a dual degree and take a large number of classes outside the Johnson School. Last summer, I interned as an analyst for GE Real Estate and definitely would not have received this position without being connected to the Johnson School, which has a network that extends to GE. Recruiters there were also impressed with the leadership experiences I've had here. Companies want people who can initiate and effect change by pulling people together rather than steamrolling them. The Johnson School allows you to do that. One thing that surprised me is the transformational experience I've had on a personal and social level. I am doing things I might not otherwise get the chance to do, like skiing, meeting people I never would have met and being exposed to different religions and cultures. And it's moving to see how the community pulls together in a tragedy, like the death of a classmate last year. The moment was epitomized when the Dean and I were leading the procession and I looked back at the amount of people behind us. At that moment, I knew how much support the school had for that student and we all had for each other. |
