Toyama Capital Management

Haruki Toyama is the owner and President of Toyama Capital Management, and serves as the Managing Member of the Toyama Value Fund, a private investment partnership. The Fund invests primarily in publicly traded securities, with the long-term objective of exceeding the returns of the S&P 500 index without taking on undue risk. The cornerstone of the Fund's approach is to view the purchase of stock as fractional ownership in the underlying business enterprise. The Fund therefore performs intensive fundamental research before making an investment, and prefers to take concentrated, long-term positions in established companies with attractive economic attributes.

Prior to founding Toyama Capital Management, Haruki covered a broad array of industries as a portfolio manager and research analyst with MFS Investment Management, David L. Babson & Company, and Madison Investment Advisors. He received an M.B.A. from the Johnson School and a B.A. from Brown University.
