Yelena is a second-year PhD student in finance at the Johnson Graduate School of Management. Her research interests include market microstructure, corporate finance and experimental economics. She successfully completed the first year requirements and was recently awarded an AFA travel grant. Prior to entering the Ph.D. program, Yelena was a research analyst at the Bank of Israel and an investment analyst at Emda Mutual Funds Management, also in Israel. Her last position before coming to Cornell was as an investment analyst at the World Bank in Washington, DC, where she researched hedge funds. Yelena obtained her BA degree in psychology and economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She also holds an MA in financial economics and an MBA in finance from the Hebrew University.
