Sean is a PhD candidate in the Johnson School's accounting department and is expected to graduate in Summer 2008. His current interests are related to financial accounting with a focus on the price discovery process and earnings management.

Sean's dissertation investigates the relative levels of price informativeness from the actions of financial analysts, corporate insiders, and institutional investors when the level of disagreement amongst this trio is high, while also highlighting conditions within the informational environment under which one party's action becomes advantaged relative to that of its counterparts.

Prior to the PhD program, Sean graduated with an M.B.A. from the NYU Stern School of Business with an concentration in finance, and also earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Duke University. In his spare time, Sean is an avid fan of tennis, photography, and healthy cooking.
