Connect With Students
Employer Presentations
Briefings provide the opportunity to generate positive first impressions about your organization. Many companies bring Johnson School alumni, recent hires, and representatives from the functional areas for which they are recruiting to participate in these sessions. In addition to allowing students to learn about your company, these functions enable you to identify candidates in whom you may be interested.
Use this forum to describe:
- the nature of the jobs for which you are recruiting
- your competitive arena
- training prospects
- career paths
- your corporate culture
Scheduling
Briefings are scheduled at either 6:15 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. and may take a variety of formats such as a speaker, panel, or
audiovisual program. Most presentations are about 30 minutes long and are usually followed by a reception, allowing
students and company representatives to interact. Students tell us the most effective briefings keep the formal
presentations short and leave sufficient time for networking with alumni and other key staff. The 6:15 p.m. briefings
and receptions need to be over by 7:30 p.m. to allow students to participate in the 7:30 p.m. events. Companies with
multiple divisions are asked to schedule only one, shared briefing.
Briefing Venues
Please call the CMC to begin scheduling use of the facilities. Briefings are generally held in Sage Hall, the
Statler Hotel, or the Johnson Art Museum. If you choose to hold your event at Sage Hall, you may contact an approved
local caterer. Corporate Partners have priority in scheduling recruiting events in Sage Hall. Briefings held at Sage
Hall are restricted to Johnson School MBA students due to space constraints. Please tell your corporate account manager
if your event requires business or business casual attire.
