Classroom Opportunities
Consulting Projects
The number of Johnson School students seeking and finding jobs in consulting is on the rise. Additionally, the students seeking jobs which provide opportunities to solve complex business problems is also rising. The Johnson School has developed several classes that offer management consulting projects. Past projects include:
- Researching and recommending development opportunities for the Republic of Macedonia
- U.S. market analysis and strategy for an international wine company
- Conducted a study for a medium financial services firm on doubling the assets managed over five years and researched competition, customer base and potential markets
- Developed an MBA leadership program for a major retail chain by reviewing their needs and culture and benchmarking other programs
- Studied the impact of baby boom retirement and semi-retirement for a major financial services firm and implications for knowledge transfer and intergenerational management issues
Management consulting projects offer a way for company representatives to work directly with Johnson School students on projects that have real business impact. You can see first-hand how our students solve problems, write reports, and present findings. If you are interested in participating in a management consulting project, please contact Randy Allen, interim associate dean for corporate relations and consultant in residence at rla9@cornell.edu.
