Johnson School Visit Checklist
- Make a Lodging Reservation. Once your recruiting plans are confirmed make sure you have reserved a room. Some of our more popular locations, such as the Statler Hotel, get quickly booked during recruitment season.
- Plan Your Travel. You may fly into either the Syracuse Airport (a 90 minute drive to Ithaca) or the Tompkins County airport which is served by USAirways, and Northwest. We are approximately a four hour drive from New York City and a six hour drive from Boston. Check our website for driving directions from both airports and major cities.
- Plan Your Parking. If driving, allow enough time to find parking on campus. Unfortunately there is no visitor parking in the lot adjacent to Sage Hall (the Johnson School does not own or manage that space). You may obtain a complimentary parking permit at any one of the Parking & Information booths located at the main entrances of campus. Simply identify yourself as a Johnson School recruiter or company guest and you will receive a one-day visitor's parking permit. The parking attendant will instruct you on where to park on campus; there are several visitor parking sections available.
- Check in at Sage Hall at least 15 minutes before your first interview. Sage Hall is located on the corner of East Avenue and Campus Road on central campus. All recruiters should check in at room 202. Bring your business cards so that we can update your contact information for our database.
- Review Your Recruiter's Packet. When you check in, you'll receive a recruiter's packet containing copies of your schedule, the student resumes, and important Johnson School information.
- Meet Our Students. Students check in at the CMC for your business card contact information and the room number for the interview. They will wait for you outside the interview room. They may not be able to interview with you past 6:00 pm., so if you would like a second round interview please make arrangements in advance.
- Stay Connected. You will have access to a television, fax machine, two PC's with internet connection, a telephone and wireless internet connections in our Executive lounge.
- Stay Refreshed. We'll provide a continental breakfast and snacks all day in our Executive Lounge and lunch in the Ramin Parlor.
- Provide Feedback. Your recruiter's packet includes feedback forms and ask that you return the completed forms at the end of the day. You can always contact Karin Ash with any concerns.
