

Glen W. S. Dowell
Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations
Professor Glen Dowell's research deals with industry evolution, and firm environmental and financial performance. Recent publications have investigated factors that affect the ability of firms to adapt to technological and social change, and the survival prospects for firms as industries undergo radical transformations. His work has examined a variety of economic sectors, including bicycle manufacturing, high-definition television, and telecommunications. Professor Dowell is currently focusing on environmental performance and factors that affect firms' environmental strategies and their resulting environmental performance. His work has been published in Management Science, Organization Studies, Advances in Strategic Management, and Strategic Management Journal. He is on the editorial review board of Organization Science. Teaching interests involve environmental strategy and sustainability, corporate strategy, and management of not-for-profit organizations
