Hans Rudolf Zulliger

Dr. Hans Rudolf Zulliger

Dr. Hans Rudolf Zulliger is cofounder and President of the Stiftung Drittes Millennium, a private educational foundation promoting meaningful survival of mankind and the biosphere. He studied Nuclear Engineering at Stanford University in California, where he earned his Ph.D. in Nuclear Instrumentation.

During the energy crisis in 1973 he was a cofounder of one of the first solar energy companies in California. He has held various management positions in international high-tech companies in the US as well as in Switzerland. He has served on several government commissions in energy research and technology.

Dr. Zulliger is also a member of the investment council of the Sustainable Asset Management (SAM) Private Equity Group which invests in small businesses promoting sustainable products and services. He has been elected to the International Advisory Board of the Alliance for Global Sustainability, a joint effort of the ETH Z?rich, MIT Boston, Tokyo University and Chalmers University in Sweden to promote sustainability in education and research. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Council of the Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise, Ithaca N.Y.
