SGEI-India was created to develop a uniquely Indian model of sustainable enterprise. SGEI-India combines Cornell's deep expertise in sustainable enterprise with Indian School of Business's (ISB) opportunity-focused approach to entrepreneurship in the developing world. Established in October 2007, the SGEI-India program includes:
- Base of the Pyramid (BOP) Learning Lab-India
- Executive council of serious and informed business leaders to drive the initiative's agenda
- A faculty network
- Curriculum development
- Applied research
- Post-graduate immersion program for ISB graduates
- Executive education program
- Faculty and student exchanges between Indian scholars and Cornell University
SGEI-India is administered by the Center and the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship at ISB.
