Request a profile for new faculty
Request a change to an existing faculty profile
It takes approximately 3-5 business days from the receipt of all materials before a new profile appears on the Johnson
School web site.
Note:
Eligibility for a profile is based on employment status at the Johnson
School. Information will be verified with the Office of Human Resources.
Depending on the nature of the content on your site, there are two solutions
to choose from:
-
Independent Faculty web Pages
hosted on the Johnson
School Server
Faculty can request
space for professional use on the Johnson School Forum Server:
forum.johnson.cornell.edu. web pages can be maintained by faculty
directly. Additionally, Faculty
Support will maintain independent faculty web pages by request
of a faculty member, or the faculty member can make his/her own
arrangements for maintenance (for example, by hiring a work-study
undergraduate student with interest in the Web).
-
Personal web Pages
hosted on Cornell's
People Server
For more personal information, Cornell University offers everyone
with an active NetID limited web server space on its CU People server
(www.people.cornell.edu),
providing a location for multi-purpose web pages (personal and/or
professional). Please see the CU
People web site for more information.
Blackboard is a university-wide
service for providing form-based, template-driven course web pages requiring no
HTML expertise. The Johnson School maximizes the use of this service by creating
sites for all courses and populating them with the e-mail addresses of the
students enrolled. Faculty and Teaching Assistants can arrange for training or
support by contacting the Academic
Technology Center (atc_support@cornell.edu or 255-9760).
