The Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management announced that Keba Rogers, PhD, is joining its Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) as associate director on November 1, 2012.

Roger’s will be ODI’s liaison to the school’s Office of Student Services and advisor to the Black Graduate Business Association, Latin American Business Association, Out for Business, the Women’s Management Council, and the Consortium and Forte student groups.  She will support diversity recruitment and manage event planning for all internal ODI events.  Rogers will also join the Johnson Diversity Council and lead initiatives to improve inclusion in our community.

Over the past 14 years, Rogers has worked in higher education, including roles in student services, residential life, and counseling and psychological services.  She has worked at the University at Buffalo, Buffalo State College, and most recently at Cornell University.  She joined Cornell in August 2011 as a licensed psychologist/community consultation and intervention specialist at Gannett Health Services, and has also served as the “Let’s Talk” counselor at Johnson. During her tenure at Cornell, she has been involved with the Diversity Community Committee, the Council on Mental Health and Welfare, the Community Support Team, and the Alert Team, as an advocate for diversity and inclusion among students, faculty, and staff on campus.

Rogers has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and community mental health, a master’s degree in school psychology, and a PhD in counseling psychology and school psychology, all from the University at Buffalo.  Her first official day at Johnson will be Thursday, November 1, 2012, and she will also attend Johnson Means Business and Diversity Symposium
