Entrepreneurship at Cornell Celebration Showcases Johnson Alumni, Thought Leadership, and Innovation

Johnson to host sessions on family business, the energy industry and climate change, food entrepreneurship, and more

More than 700 are expected at the Entrepreneurship at Cornell Celebration, taking place on the Ithaca campus April 13 to April 15, 2016. Johnson will take a lead role, kicking the conference off on Thursday, April 14, with final presentations in the Cornell Venture Challenge, sponsored by Johnson’s BR Venture Fund. These take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Amphitheater, Statler Hotel.

Other Johnson events on Thursday, April 14 include:

Discussion of the Cornell College of Business, with Dean Soumitra Dutta and Cornell College of Business Leadership, in the Ballroom, Statler Hotel, 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Panel: Family Business Confidential, sponsored by the Smith Family Business Initiative, and moderated by Angela Mwanza, MBA ’00, senior vice president, UBS Private Wealth Management, in the Penn Room, Statler Hotel, 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m.

On Friday, April 15, Johnson events include:

Panel: The Energy Industry in Chaos: Innovations addressing climate change, moderated by Jeremy Kuhre, MBA ’16, in the Penn Room, Statler Hotel, 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Panel: PhD to Commercialization, moderated by Tom Schryver, ’95, MBA ’02, executive director, Center for Regional Economic Advancement at Cornell University, Penn Room, Statler Hotel, 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Panel: The Sustainable Dinner Plate: The changing landscape of food entrepreneurship, moderated by Steve Gal, ’88, senior lecturer of management at Johnson, Penn Room, Statler Hotel, 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
