Julia E. Matsudaira
Prior to pursuing her MBA, Julia spent several years in the nonprofit sector, where she developed expertise in human capital management, strategic planning, program evaluation, and fundraising. Most recently she was the San Francisco site Program Director for Summer Search, a national leadership development program for low-income youth. At Johnson, Julia is focusing her studies on finance and asset management. In addition to being the 2013 residential student representative to the Johnson Advisory Council, she is a recipient of the Roy H. Park Leadership Fellowship and a candidate for the Environmental Finance and Impact Investing Fellowship. On campus, Julia serves as a Johnson Leadership Fellow, a Career Work Group leader, a member of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management and is active in the Old Ezra Finance Club and Sustainable Global Enterprise Club. She is interested in the role the financial services sector can play in promoting positive change for individuals and society. This summer, Julia is a Summer Associate with Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management in San Francisco. Julia earned a B.A. from Wesleyan University with high honors in East Asian Studies.
