MasterCard and Johnson Team Up for “Innovation Express”
Students from across Cornell bring creativity, ingenuity to deliver a new product for university students and young professionals—in 48 hours
MasterCard’s Innovation Express competition is coming to Johnson and Cornell University May 1 to May 4, 2014. The competition brings teams of developers, designers, and business people together to take an idea or concept from prototype and build a go-to-market plan—all in 48 hours.
Four teams of Cornell students from Johnson, College of Engineering, School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and others, are matched with MasterCard employees to deliver a prototype, business plan executive summary, and video demo. The solutions and products created will be evaluated by a panel of judges on business impact, creativity, and technology accomplishment.
Innovation Express kicks off on Thursday, May 1, with a reception and dinner, where instructions to teams will be delivered. Teams begin work on Friday morning, and present their deliverables to a panel of judges at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 4, in Sage Hall Room 141.
