Claire Flurin

Claire Flurin comes to Cornell from Paris, France, where she worked for L'Oreal Propery Department as project manager at the corporate level. More specifically, she managed LEED, Breeam and HQE certifications while updating the "sustainable building" policy, and coordinated a worldwide seismic evaluation program. Claire previously worked for Kaufman and Broad as an assistant site manager for the construction of two large-home residential areas. She currently serves as a Native Speaker for Cornell Language House where she oversights the language support and community management. At Cornell, Claire focuses on sustainable and international planning. As she conducts a study on the concept of eco-district in Europe, she finds great interest in the redevelopment of depressed areas in dense urban fabrics offering an opportunity for new lifestyles to emerge. In the SGE Immersion, Claire hopes to develop entrepreunarial skills allowing to anchor her projects in the reality of the business world while embracing equity and sustainability.
