Shortly after graduating college, Claude Rosen co-founded Compost for Brooklyn, a nonprofit that empowers city residents to sustainably reduce waste and cultivate healthy urban ecosystems.  While remaining an active Board Member there, Claude went on to work in an operations role at a variety of organizations throughout New York City.  Most recently, he was the Director of Operations at The Future Project- a nonprofit education reform startup- where he developed the foundational operations and financial procedures that enabled the organization's rapid growth, its staff and annual budget doubling in just over one year to 25 full-time employees and $2 million respectively.  Through the SGE immersion, Claude hopes to learn more about for-profit solutions to environmental and social issues and is particularly interested in building stronger regional food systems.
