Matthew is a second year Fellow at the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs concentrating in International Development. His experience includes analyzing the determinants of business enabling environments with the World Bank's Doing Business Report, conducting field research on sustainable development models in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa, leading a non-profit organization in Malawi, and teaching English in Costa Rica. Matthew's interests lie at the nexus between the public and private sector where business opportunities can be used to positively and significantly impact environmental and developmental outcomes. Matthew brings his passion to the SGE Immersion to continue to expand his understanding of the complex and vital role the private sector can play in shaping the future.
