Ozgur Ozan Eken

Ozgur Ozan Eken was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey, and graduated from Yeditepe University with a BS in Computer Engineering. Ozan started his career as a Software engineer with Koc Information and Defence Systems Inc., A subsidiary of Koc Holding, the biggest Turkish multi-national company, $50bn revenue, in Ankara, worked closely with clients for 5 years and finished his career as a Team Leader in financial projects. Ozan then joined the Army, serving as a Team Sergeant. Prior to enrolling at Johnson, Ozan worked for Siemens Enterprise Communications Inc. in Turkey as a senior engineer. At Siemens, he reported directly to senior management in Austria while leading a team of R&D engineers in Hungary in developing software systems to reduce the cost of administering Siemens devices. Simultaneously Ozan owned his own business involved leading a team of engineers and business analysts in solving Citibank Global Transaction Services' distribution channel issues. Utilizing his past experience with similar financial projects, Ozan was additionally responsible for the smooth integration of the two major actors in the project, Citibank and The General Directorate of Post and Telegraph Organization. His major achievement was increasing the penetration rate of Citibank to 99%, by covering nearly all of the rural and urban areas in Turkey. Prior to the project, the penetration rate in rural areas was negligible. Another project in which he led was 'Ucuz Para Transferi' UPT, an Electronic Fund Transfer project, which was named the 'Best Innovation in the Delivery of Financial Products' by the Financial World Innovation Awards in 2011. Ozan has extensive experience in client-facing roles and is adept at analyzing client problems and coming up with the best solutions. Ozan has been a lifelong swimmer and enjoys Latin dance

Personal Interest

I will be pursuing a career in Strategy Consulting immediately after Johnson, but long-term will pursue a career in telecommunications and high-tech industries in Emerging Markets
