Professor Huang’s research interests are in the areas of asset pricing, derivatives markets, commodities markets, and financial econometrics. He currently teaches the Derivative Securities and Advanced Investment Strategies courses in the MBA program. He has received research awards from Cubist Systematic Strategies and the Institute of Structured Finance and Derivatives. Darien earned his Ph.D. in Finance and M.A. in Statistics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also earned dual bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Economics. Prior to his doctoral studies, Darien worked as a proprietary trader at Goldman Sachs in Tokyo.
