As an advisor to some of the world’s most well-known food, beverage, and agriculture companies, Mr. Sent has focused his practice on both public and private advisory services as well as debt and equity financing. He has worked with companies in the food, beverage, and agriculture industry, including Cargill, P&G, The J.M. Smucker Company, Constellation Brands, Brown-Forman, General Mills, Kellogg, Nestlé, and Caldic BV. He has also advised leading private equity firms, such as American Securities, GE Capital, Lindsay Goldberg, Madison Dearborn, North Castle Partners, Pamplona, TH Lee, and Warburg Pincus.
George Sent currently serves as Head of M&A for the Food & Agriculture effort at KeyBanc Capital Markets. He is responsible for execution and sourcing of the firm’s assignments within food and agriculture.
Prior to KeyBanc, Mr. Sent was a Director with Lazard's investment banking group, working with clients across the food and agriculture industry. Previous banking experience includes serving as a Senior Associate with Goldman Sachs.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Sent was a food industry executive with J.M. Smucker (NYSE: SJM), where he was Executive Director of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations. During his tenure at Smucker, he participated in the company’s tremendous growth as the company doubled sales over a four-year period.
Mr. Sent graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance (cum laude and Beta Gamma Sigma) and received an M.B.A. from Cornell University, where he was a Johnson School Finance Fellow (merit-based fellowship). He is on the Advisory Board of Magic Leap Studios, and he is a CPA in the state of Ohio.
