Biography
Wayne’s research examines creativity and decision-making, focusing on individuals' decision process for accepting or rejecting creative content. His work provides insight into how a) evaluators can compensate for their own biases when considering novel ideas b) presenters can mitigate bias against their ideas c) organizations can mitigate evaluator bias towards novelty. He earned his BA from Vanderbilt, a MS and graduate certificate from Georgetown, and a MS and Ph.D. from the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is also a retired army officer and a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College as well as the JFK Special Warfare Center and School for both Special Operations Forces Officer and Civil Affairs.
