Johnson Welcomes Counselor for Economic Affairs, Chinese Embassy

Li Bin, expert on China-U.S. economic cooperation, will speak to MBA students in an upcoming Emerging Markets Class.

Li Bin, Counselor for Economic Affairs, for the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C., will speak to MBA students on November 25, 2013, at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. Bin, who will talk about Chinese investments in Latin America, will be joined by two additional guest speakers, Andrew Horrocks, MBA ’92, managing director and Global co-head of the Transportation and Autos Group at Credit Suisse Group, and Vishal Ahluwalia, executive director at UBS Head Outsourcing/Off- shoring Group Ops America.

The three are guest lecturers in an MBA course on emerging markets, taught by Lourdes Casanova, senior lecturer of management at Johnson. Students not taking the course are invited to attend this special session at 1:25 p.m. on November 25 in B01 Sage Hall.

Bin Li has worked in state development planning and foreign affairs for China since 1989. For the past 10 years, he has been in charge of American affairs, European affairs, and multilateral affairs. He has served in the Chinese Embassy in the U.S. since July 2011.  Li is especially familiar with China-U.S. economic cooperation and the U.S. companies operating in China.
