EMI celebrates the work of Cornell Tech Fellows at EMI Alumni Day

On April 27th, 2018 the Emerging Markets Institute (EMI) will host the first EMI Alumni Day at the Tata Innovation Center at Cornell Tech. The event serves to celebrate the work of the class of 2017 and 2018 Cornell Tech EMI Fellows.

On April 27th, 2018 the Emerging Markets Institute (EMI) will host the first EMI Alumni Day at the Tata Innovation Center at Cornell Tech. The event serves to celebrate the work of the class of 2017 and 2018 Cornell Tech EMI Fellows.

In 2016, EMI launched its Fellows program for Cornell Tech MBA candidates. As part of the program, Cornell Tech EMI Fellows complete a capstone project which allows them to take what they have learned from their varied coursework and apply it through practical research projects. The capstone projects offer Fellows a critical lens to explore the unique characteristics and issues that influence emerging markets.

The alumni day will include:

1. Cornell Tech EMI Fellows 2017 Capstones Presentations by Max Kaye and Vince Wong,
2. Cornell Tech EMI Fellows 2018 Capstones Presentations by current EMI Fellows,
3. Book discussion, Financing Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Emerging Markets with Lourdes Casanova Director EMI and Peter Cornelius, Alpinvest, Carlyle Group, Research Fellow EMI and
4. Reception to follow
