Founding Board Advisor at Coltala Holdings

Charles L. Jarvie earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell in 1958, and his Johnson MBA in 1959. Many family members, including his wife Janet, son, and two grandchildren are also Cornell graduates.

Mr. Jarvie is a Founding Board Advisor at Coltala Holdings. His expertise is derived from over 50 years of executive management experience with prominent companies such as Procter & Gamble, Dr. Pepper Co., Fidelity Investments, Schenley Industries, Host Communications and Guinness America.  After 20 years with Procter & Gamble, he served as President of Dr. Pepper Company and Fidelity Investments Marketing Corp. He was Chief Executive Officer at Schenley Industries, Inc., and served as President/Partner of Host Communications, Inc. from 1992 to 2000. His accomplishments include the acquisition of Canada Dry Corporation and the sale of Schenley Industries, Host Communications, and New Era Beverage Company. He was Chairman of J/P Management Associates, and served as a Director of Guinness America, Inc. and Galaxy Nutritional Foods Inc. He has served on over twenty boards of directors, and is active in a number of national organizations including BENS (Business Executives for National Security).

Mr. Jarvie joined the Johnson Advisory Council in 1968, serving as an active or emeriti member for more than 50 years.  He has been an advisor to Johnson on strategic marketing for decades, and in 2015 was recognized with the Samuel C. Johnson Distinguished Service Award.
