Consortium FAQs
We make every attempt to follow the deadlines relative to the Johnson application round in which you submit. For example, if you apply in Consortium’s Round One on October 15, we hope to have your admissions decision published in December. If you apply in Consortium’s Round Two on January 5, we hope to provide your admissions decision by the end of March.
For those who submit their application in Consortium’s Round One, we consider them alongside our Round One Johnson applicants. For those submitting in Consortium’s Round Two, we consider them alongside our January round applications. Although sometimes it is not possible, we make every attempt to provide decisions for Consortium applications in line with the Johnson timeline.
All accepted Consortium students must submit one initial deposit of $1,500 by the deadline given in your offer letter, and a second deposit of $1,500 by Noon Eastern Time, June 5.
Consortium students receiving Park Fellowships must submit a $3,000 deposit by the deadline given in your offer letter, and a second deposit of $1,500 by Noon Eastern Time, June 5 (total of $4,500).
Each program maintains unique application processes and provides independent admissions decisions. If you would like to apply for a dual degree, you must submit an application for the other program you plan to pursue as well as submitting a traditional or Consortium application for the MBA program.
Consortium membership decisions will come directly from the Consortium in mid-March. Consortium fellowship decisions will come from Johnson after the Membership and Fellowship Selection Committee meeting, in mid to late March.
To be admitted to Johnson, you must complete a Johnson interview. Interviews are evaluative and available by invitation only. They may be conducted by an admissions staff member or second-year MBA student. We encourage you to visit Ithaca for an in-person interview, if possible, especially if you have not visited campus before. If you cannot travel to Ithaca, we also offer Zoom-based interviews.
To be considered for Consortium fellowships and memberships, you must apply through The Consortium; submit all of the required materials according to their processes and by their deadlines.
The Roy H. Park Leadership Fellowship is an invite-only program. After their admissions interview, candidates being considered for the Park Fellowship will receive an invitation to join us for one of our virtual Leadership Exploration and Assessment Day (L.E.A.D.) events. Candidates invited to attend a LEAD event will be required to submit a response to the Park Fellows Essay.
All Consortium applicants are considered for Johnson merit-scholarships in addition to The Consortium fellowship.
Fellowships cover the full tuition for two years.
