MPS in Management – Accounting Specialization Prerequisites

Students interested in the program should have a background in core business classes.

For students from other institutions outside of Cornell, coursework will be evaluated to determine equivalency to the following:

  • Cornell Business Minor or equivalent including six business-related courses (18 credits) that must include Financial Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Management and Statistics and complete an undergraduate degree involving 120 credits or more. Students must also take Intermediate Accounting I (3 credits) before matriculation. Corporate Financial Reporting, Financial Accounting III, or another equivalent course would also be accepted.

For Cornell students and alumni interested in the MPS in Management – Accounting Specialization, the prerequisites can be satisfied by completing any of the following before matriculation (e.g., before the first day of the MPS in Management – Accounting Specialization program):
