Who should apply?


Applicants to our Accelerated MBA program typically have clearly defined career paths. Some return to the business side of their technical or scientific organizations; others pursue careers in consulting, marketing, international business, and other fields.

The AMBA program is designed for candidates who either (1) have already earned a master's or doctoral degrees and want to expand their professional expertise to include graduate business training; or (2) are dually applying to the AMBA program and another professional or graduate degree program at Cornell, such as the JD/MBA, MD/MBA, MEng/MBA, or MHA/MBA programs.

Program format


Our Accelerated MBA program begins with an intensive 10-week summer term that covers orientation, core courses, leadership and professional development work. Remaining core courses are completed in the fall semester, along with a semester-long management practicum and a two-week internship. Electives are taken during the spring semester. The Accelerated MBA program shares courses, faculty and resources with the Two-Year MBA program, and students are eligible to participate in select Immersion Programs.
