Biography

Gregory Ray is a program lead and entrepreneur in residence at the Center for Regional Economic Advancement and an instructor at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. Previously, Ray served in a number of roles for Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), a program for early-stage technology-based companies. During his time at CDL, he worked on expansion, pedagogy, operations, recruiting, and partnerships while based out of Toronto, New York, and Atlanta. CDL's cumulative equity value increased by more than $6B CAD during Ray's tenure.

Before CDL, Ray served as project manager for the launch of a private hospital in Kuwait and worked on strategy for a Dubai-based agriculture start-up. He holds a BA in biochemistry from Hamilton College, an MBA in strategy from the University of Toronto, and a PhD in molecular biology from Cornell University.
