2. Health Insurance

Students enrolled in the EMBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership (dual degree) program are required to have applicable health insurance coverage.

All students will be automatically enrolled in the Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) Student Health Insurance plan. Student health insurance is offered through WCM, not through Cornell University in Ithaca.

2019-20 Annual Premium Rates (rates subject to increase each year):

    • Student Health Insurance (SHI): $6,850
    • Student Health Service (SHS): $1,377

Students will be assessed the first portion of these charges on the first term billing invoice of each academic year. SHI and SHS charges are not included in the tuition for the Program. Students will be responsible for covering this expense unless they are eligible*and complete the health insurance waiver process.

Students must complete this process by the waiver deadline of each new academic year. If a student does not submit a waiver during the designated waiver period each academic year, they will continue to be responsible for all additional charges on each billing invoice. Click here for the online waiver process instructions—the waiver will become available on June 15.

If you have waived the WCM SHI plan and SHS fee, you will not be eligible to utilize the services offered for the duration of the applicable waiver period.

Visit Student Accounting’s website here for further details.

*Any student who is not a United States citizen or permanent resident of the United States will not be eligible to waive the WCM SHI coverage or waive the annual SHS fee.
