ODI works closely with the Hispanic American Business Leaders Association (HABLA) and the Latin American Business Association (LABA) and maintains partnerships with organizations such as the Latinx MBA Association, the Consortium for Graduate Studies in Management, Management Leadership for Tomorrow, and the Robert Toigo Foundation to offer funding opportunities, engaging personal development programs, and foster community among our students from the Latin American diaspora.

Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month

TODI collaborates with the Hispanic American Business Leaders Association and the Latin American Business Association to celebrate Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 of each fall semester. The month is filled with social and education gatherings, as well as hosting a Fiery Chat and a Latinx/Hispanic Alumni Panel.

Carnaval Latino

The Latin American Business Association and the Hispanic American Business Leaders Association host a Carnaval Latino celebration each spring semester.

Afro-Latinx Party

Each fall the Black Graduate Business Association, the Johnson Africa Business Society, the Hispanic American Business Leaders Association, and the Latin American Business Association host an Afro-latinx dance party at a venue in downtown Ithaca.


Hispanic American Business Leaders Association (HABLA)

Hispanic American Business Leaders Association (HABLA) is a student-led organization that seeks to empower Latinx and Hispanic American MBA students to succeed academically and professionally, raise awareness about the importance of bringing diversity into the workplace, and develop a pipeline to increase Latinx/Hispanic American representation at Johnson.

Latin American Business Association (LABA)

The combined countries of the Latin American region have a population of more than 585 million people and an aggregate GDP of more than $5.5 trillion USD, representing more than 7% of the world’s economy. The Latin American Business Association (LABA) is the official organization for Latin American students studying at Johnson. The goal of the club is to support members with advice on recruiting and more importantly to create a strong sense of community within the MBA program. Everyone is welcome to become a member.
