The one-year STEM-designated graduate degree program will provide you with the business acumen necessary to make a mark and move forward in your career. Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management’s MPS in Management program provides a core business curriculum with the flexibility to tailor your experience to match your interest with electives.

World-class Faculty and Resources

As part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business and one of the largest Ivy League Universities, students in the MPS in Management program learn from the best and have access to top-quality resources. Premier faculty from Cornell’s Johnson, Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, and School of Applied Economics and Management, and Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of  Hotel Administration schools are selected to teach at the state of the art Breazzano Family Center for Business, in Ithaca, New York. In addition to the graduate program’s core courses, students have the option to take elective classes from any of the three schools, which provides a depth and breadth offered by no other program. From resources like advising and career services to the numerous clubs and social activities offered throughout the campus, there are endless options that students can incorporate into their academic experience.

As part of the MPS in Management program curriculum you will complete three industry practicums that consist of live case studies and site visits. Our hands-on approach to group projects will provide you with industry expertise and opportunities to engage with and learn from industry leaders. Industries you will be exposed to can include:

Are You a Good Fit for the MPS in Management Program?

The combination of courses in the MPS in Management curriculum is designed to deliver the full disciplinary range of a one-year degree in business, at a graduate pace. Cornell’s Master’s in Management program is best suited for those looking to gain core business skills or those early in their careers, with a business minor, who are looking to advance.

Students accepted into the Master’s in Management program must meet the following prerequisites:

For Cornell students:

  • Completion of Bachelor’s Degree
  • Completion of the Cornell Undergraduate Business Minor
  • GMAT (preferred) / GRE (accepted)*

For Students outside of Cornell:

  • Completion of Bachelor’s Degree
  • Coursework will be evaluated to determine equivalency to the Cornell Business Minor
  • GMAT (preferred) / GRE (accepted)

*For Cornellians who graduated with a business minor in the last 2 years, application fee and testing will be waived with achievement of a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA.

Application deadlines for the MPS in Management program:

Applicants must submit all application components by the application deadline listed for each round in order to be considered in that round. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

  • Round One: December 1
  • Round Two: January 15
  • Round Three: March 1
  • Round Four: April 15

After round deadlines, applications will be received and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
