Arthur Snyder III, has been President and Chairman of the Board of A.M. Best Company, Inc. since June 2009, when his father, Arthur Snyder Jr., retired after more than three decades at the firm. Arthur III previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Founded in 1899, A.M. Best Company is a full-service credit rating organization dedicated to serving the insurance industry. Policyholders refer to Best’s ratings and analysis as a means of assessing the financial strength and creditworthiness of risk-bearing entities and investment vehicles. Arthur received a BS from Colgate in 1977, MBA from Cornell in 1979 and M. Eng ORIE from Cornell in 1980. He has been a class agent and reunion campaign member for the Johnson Class of 1979 and serves on the Cornell Alumni Trustee Nomination Committee.
