4:00-6:00 pm: Program registration will be held at the Statler Hotel
A professional headshot photo will be taken during registration. This photo will be used for your student ID card, the student directory, and other potential internal and external needs.

Monday, July 24
Orientation is facilitated by Cornell Outdoor Education (COE). These team-building activities will challenge you and your team to think outside of the box.
Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes, and sneakers. We also recommend bringing a hat and a light rain jacket.
8:30-9:30 am: Class breakfast & COE orientation
9:30 am: Buses depart the Statler Hotel for COE
10:00 am-4:30 pm: COE course (with a lunch break)
5:00 pm: Return to hotel
6:30-8:30 pm: Welcome dinner (with the Class of 2018) at Boatyard Grill
First Day of Classes
Tuesday, July 25
8:00 am: Classes begin in Sage Hall (further details available on registration day)
Sunday, July 30
8:00-12:00 pm: Classes in Sage Hall
12:00-12:30 pm: Boxed lunches available for pick-up
12:30 pm: Depart from campus
Hotel reservations are confirmed for your stay between July 23-30 (check-out on the 30th). Specific details regarding accommodations will be available closer to the start of the residential session. If you plan to arrive early or stay after the scheduled dates of the residential session, you are responsible for arranging your accommodations and must contact the hotel directly.
The following meals are provided during the residential session:
- Continental breakfast in the Sage Hall Atrium, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
- A full breakfast at the Statler Hotel in Banfi's Restaurant, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
- Lunches and dinners are a variety of group events and "coupon meals" (as noted on the daily schedule). Dinner coupons are redeemable at participating local restaurants. Restaurant options are listed on the back of your meal coupon.
- Room service is not included during your stay in Ithaca. Room service fees incurred will be billed to your credit card.
Our team strives to accommodate all dietary needs. Please help us by completing the arrival survey - which includes questions regarding dietary restrictions and needs - no later than July 8.
The standard dress code is business casual for most days. Business suits are not required, and you are welcome to pack shorts and jeans. Comfortable clothing and sneakers are strongly encouraged for orientation on Monday, July 24.
A variety of fitness center options are available for use during your stay in Ithaca. Please see a staff member for a complimentary guest pass.
Location of Classes
Classes for the summer residential session will take place at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management in Sage Hall. Sage Hall is located on East Avenue, directly across the street from the Statler Hotel.
Traveling to Ithaca
By Air: The Ithaca Tompkins County Airport is 15 minutes from campus. The Statler Hotel provides shuttle service to and from the airport. Courtesy phones are located in the baggage claim area.
The Syracuse International Airport is approximately 90 minutes from Ithaca.
By Car: Ithaca is an approximate drive of 4 hours from New York City, 4 hours from Philadelphia, and 6 hours from Boston. Parking is available while on campus.
By Bus: Ithaca is served by:

- The Ithaca bus depot is approximately 2 miles from campus
Cornell's Campus-to-Campus Bus This option provides express transportation between Ithaca and two Cornell facilities in Manhattan. For more information about this service, or to make a reservation, visit the website or contact Cornell Transportation Services at 607-254-8747. When booking, we recommend choosing the "Sage Hall" stop at Cornell. Seats on the Campus-to-Campus bus go quickly, so make your reservation as soon as possible.
Ithaca Climate and Clothing
Summers are beautiful, with many days in the eighties. Nights usually cool off into the sixties, sometimes into the fifties.
