CMC Programs

The Career Management Center is dedicated to working with you to ensure you find the best candidates for your openings. Recruiters can team with the CMC as we advance our mission to educate MBA students on the breadth and depth of their career choices. By creating innovative opportunities for employers to connect with our students, we hope to find ways for recruiters to deepen their relationships with the school and our students.

Just About Careers

The “Just About Careers” event is designed to provide incoming students with broad exposure to industries and job functions in which MBA graduates work. We’ve found the earlier MBA students know the industries and types of jobs they are interested in, the more focused and successful their job search.

Alumni or key corporate contacts representing various industries and job functions participate in panel discussions covering a typical “day in the life” in their job, what they look for in an MBA candidate for their department, their career path to this point, and the role their function plays within their firm. This event usually occurs on the second Friday in August during orientation.

To participate in a future Just About Careers event, please contact David Capaldi,  Director Residential Program, dbc3@cornell.edu or 607-255-9449.

Career Workshops

We welcome companies to participate in the Career Management Center’s educational and training programs for students. Your expertise can help us prepare Johnson students for the job search while giving your company heightened visibility. Companies in the past have helped with interviewing, programming, mock and case interview practice, and resume and cover letter workshops.

To discuss how we might connect your ideas and our students’ needs, please contact David Capaldi at dbc3@cornell.edu or 607-255-9449 for recruiting events or other programming.
