Amane Nakashima, MBA ’89

Amane Nakashima, MBA ’89 is president of Nakashimato Co. and chairman of Kewpie Corp. Nakashimato Co. is a family-owned food distribution company based in Tokyo, and Kewpie Corp. is Japan’s leading manufacturer of mayonnaise. Nakashimato has focused on expanding into increasingly diverse lines of business, as indicated by its 2013 purchase of Legrand Filles et Fils, one of Paris’ most famous wine shops.

Mr. Nakashima serves as a member of the Cornell University Council as well as president of both the Johnson Club of Japan and the Cornell Club of Japan. He and his wife live in Tokyo with their three children, including Miu ’22, a student in the Nolan School.
